The importance of Junan Taiso, (method of flexibility and breathing), was discussed the other evening during practice. There are many methods of practice that can be maintained to be ahead of the learning curve of experience with this particular discipline. It is the utmost importance that the newcomer as well as the seasoned practitioner be on a regular practice routine with stretching, warmups, conditioning etc. These practices, we believe, should not be isolated for classroom (dojo) time. It should be taken seriously to practice on a regular basis. There are numerous ways to keep these practices from getting boring by rotating your practices to something a little different every day.
